10:45-12:00 - Alicia Arnold, LMFT - EMDR overview

12:00-1:00 – Lunch

1:00-2:00 - Megan - Supervising clinicians who treat trauma (students/interns welcome to join)

2:00-3:00 - Q&A with Nevada State Board Member (MFT/CPC)

3:00-4:00 - Mentoring Hour: Students and Supervisors meet and greet

Mentoring Day 2024 will focus on trauma-informed care from two different treatment approaches. Alicia Arnold will present on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy which facilitates the accessing and processing of traumatic memories. Wendy Westergard will present on Sensorimotor therapy, a holistic approach to trauma treatment through integrating body and movement with talk therapy. Dr. Megan Weller will provide a 1-hour supervision training addressing supervision issues with clinicians who treat clients with trauma. Students/Interns will have an opportunity during the supervision CEU to learn more about the internship process before breaking into groups to meet with supervisors.
